NOIDA: The Department of Health of the city of Noida has started working to improve its ranking in the country’s annual cleanliness survey. According to officials, officials of Noida’s civic authorities will be working on all cylinders to rank higher in Swachh Survekshan 2021.
A meeting was held by Indu Prakash Singh, Noida authority’s officer on special duty, in which health department and all private agencies involved in waste collection, transportation and reimbursement work in the city met. The meeting was also attended by engineers, project engineers and sanitation employees.
During the meeting, Singh asked the health department officials and the private agencies to gather only segregated garbage from households in residential sectors and villages. The staff was also asked to prepare for the upcoming Swachhta Survey – 2020-21. The survey process will start from January 2021 and will be completed by the end of the month.
The Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs will visit Noida next year to evaluate the cleanliness level and feedback from the residents. Noida was ranked the cleanest city in Uttar Pradesh and secured the 25th rank in the country under Swacch Surveskshan 2020.
