GANDHINAGAR: The Government of Gujarat, on Tuesday, January 5, extended protection from job loss to teachers and staff of grant-in-aid secondary and higher secondary schools. According to a statement released by the state government, the newly appointed teachers and other staff members will not face the question of losing their jobs due to class-school closure.
This decision will benefit approximately 20,000 teachers and staff of state-funded secondary and higher secondary schools. Bhupendrasinh Chudasama, Education Minister, Gujarat, said that Vijay Rupani, Chief Minister, Gujarat, took the decision after considering the representations made by the teachers and the staff.
