NAGPUR, Maharashtra: The Nagpur Municipal Corporation filed FIRs against the owners of 14 open plots in Nagpur that have been posing significant health risks due to the accumulation of stagnant water and overgrown vegetation on Sunday, August 11.
Dr Gajendra Mahalle, Head, Department of Solid Waste Management, NMC, took legal action when the owners took no notice of the warnings given by the authorities regarding notices and deadlines for plot maintenance. These 14 cases have been filed in Hudkeshwar, Yashodhara Nagar, and Kapil Nagar police stations.
