NEW DELHI: National Green Tribunal (NGT) has directed National Buildings Construction Corporation (NBCC) and Central Public Works Department (CPWD) to not cut trees for re-development of nine colonies in south Delhi till July 19.
A Bench headed by NGT Acting Chairperson Jawad Rahim also directed NBCC to make a categorical statement on how many trees are to be felled for the project.
NGT also ordered central government and NBCC to inform about the number of tree to be cut down for project, and the green court also directed to stay put on removal of debris from the project site until further notice.
