NEW DELHI: Hardeep Singh Puri Minister of Housing and Urban Affairs, Government of India said that the future strategy must be to prioritise sustainable and energy efficient infrastructure to advance the pace of development.
Puri was speaking at the 63rd foundation day of National Building Construction Corporation (NBCC) where he praised the company for having made a name for itself as a trusted partner of the government to resolve difficult projects, such as the Amrapali project in Noida.
He also encouraged companies like NBCC to utilise modern building practises to build infrastructure that is inclusive and sustainable in keeping with the Prime Minister of India Narendra Modi’s vision of ‘India@100’.
Puri commended NBCC’s participation in a number of significant infrastructure projects, including the construction of Delhi’s first World Trade Center and the transformation of the historic Pragati Maidan into a top-notch exhibition and convention centre. 3,500 units have already been finished by NBCC, and all of the apartments will be delivered by 2024.
