NEW DELHI: North Delhi Municipal Corporation (NDMC) on January 9, 2019, launched a single-point complaint lodging system where the citizens will be able to register complaints at the number – 155304.
Adesh Gupta, corporation mayor, said that several helpline and control room numbers launched earlier (18002008701 / 1800118700 / 1266 and phone application [Sameer app CPCB]), which were created for different types of complaints, have now been routed to this single short code number. “By single-point complaint lodging system now residents can lodge their complaints under 37 broad categories,” Gupta added. The different categories include garbage issues, road sweeping, dhalaos not being cleaned, waterlogging, unauthorised construction, encroachment, dangerous buildings, street lights and stray animals, among others. Spokesperson of the civic body said, “As soon as a complaint is received, the software will sort the subject and area and forward it to the authority concerned for up do.” The complainant would get an SMS confirming the registration and a link to track the real time status of the complaint online. “The complainant can know the status just by a touch on the link in the SMS. If the complaint is of more than 48 hours old, it will automatically convert into red layout or if in process, the complaint will be in yellow layout,” he added. North corporation online complaint portal receives average of 2,161 complaints per month.
