BHOPAL: Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh Shivraj Singh Chouhan announced on Wednesday, to distribute benefits worth Rs 3900 crore to over one lakh beneficiaries under Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojna (urban). More than 21,000 beneficiaries entered their houses after ‘grih pravesh’, while ‘bhumi poojan’ was done for the houses of 30,000 new beneficiaries of 295 urban bodies.
Bhupendra Singh, Minister of Urban Development and Housing, Government of Madhya Pradesh said that they’re trying to realise the vision of Prime Minister Narendra Modi to provide pucca houses to all in India. So far 9,25,000 houses have been sanctioned. Out of these, 4,37,000 houses have been completed, while the rest are yet to be completed.
