NEW DELHI: The Ministry of Women and Child Development (MoWCD), on Thursday, August 28, introduced a new SHe-Box portal for women to register their complaints regarding sexual harassment in the workplace. On this centralised platform, the complainant women can also monitor the status of their complaints.
Along with the SHe-Box Platform, Annpurna Devi, Minister for Women and Child Development, launched the new website of her ministry.
The SHe-Box will be a central repository of all information related to internal committees and local committees formed all over India. This includes both the government and private sectors. The platform allows the complainant to track the status of their application to ensure the time-bound resolution of the complaints by the internal committees. In her address at the event, Minister Annpurna Devi said, “This initiative is a critical step forward in providing a more efficient and secure platform for addressing workplace-related sexual harassment complaints. It furthers the government’s commitment to creating a safer and more inclusive working environment for women across India.”
