NEW DELHI: Narendra Modi, Prime Minister of India, addressed the ‘Viksit Bharat Viksit Rajasthan’ program and laid the foundation stone of multiple development projects worth over ₹17,000 crore via video conferencing.
The projects cater to several important sectors including roads, railways, solar energy, power transmission, drinking water, and petroleum and natural gas.
As per the official statement, various national highway projects worth over ₹5,000 crore were inaugurated by PM Modi in Rajasthan besides three stretches of eight-lane Delhi-Mumbai Green field Alignment (NE-4).
These sections will enhance connectivity in the area, offering faster and improved transportation. They have been designed with animal underpasses and overpasses, camouflaged to facilitate the unrestricted movement of wildlife. Noise barriers have also been installed to reduce the impact on wildlife.
In addition to various highway projects, Modi also unveiled the groundwork for eight railway projects in Rajasthan, collectively valued at approximately ₹2,300 crore.
He further laid the foundation stone for solar projects valued at around ₹5,300 crore in the state.
