MARGAO: Anganwadis in Goa will get assistance with a real-time mobile application to identify, help and treat malnourished children under the National Nutrition Mission (NNM).
As the part of central government mission, workers of anganwadi will receive smartphones and tablets, for accessing the mobile application.
Earlier this month, Directorate of Women and Child Development (DWCD) has floated a tender inviting manufacturers and distributors of smartphones, to distribute the equipments to 1262 anganwadi centers and 12 block officers in the state.
According to the officials, the plan is to get a real-time look at the progress of undernourished children’s.
As part of the Information Computers Technology Enabled-Real Time Monitoring of Schemes (ICT-RTM) under NNM, the smartphones are being procured and it enlarges anganwadi service delivery and look at revamping of the nutrition outcomes through effective monitoring and timely intervention.
