SHILLONG: A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed between the Government of Meghalaya with the Government of Tamil Nadu to boost healthcare in the state. This is a first-of-its-kind partnership between the two states which will be also collaborating on knowledge sharing, capacity building, improving health service delivery and to provide training to the medical professionals.
James Sangma, Cabinet Minister in Government of Meghalaya met with Ma Subramaniam, Minister for Health and Family Welfare, Government of Tamil Nadu, to formalize the agreement signing. He also lauded his counterpart for taking “proactive approaches” by the south Indian state to improve the health sector.
