LUCKNOW: Lucknow Municipal Corporation (LMC) launched a special drive, in order to improve air quality of the city. Sanyukta Bhatia, Mayor, LMC and Municipal Commissioner Ajay Dwivedi gave green flag to eight anti-smog sprinklers, 40 tractor-mounted water sprinklers and eight mechanical sweeping machines.
The sprinkler machines are deployed to clear air and settle the dust on roads on top of cleaning the streets in a mechanised way. The staff of LMC will also sensitise people of the city about the measures to be taken to improve the air quality. This development will be fruitful for the city as it has 236 kilometres of road stretch and a large number are in bad shape.
