KTR inaugurates new road over bridge in Hyderabad to counter traffic congestion

HYDERABAD: KT Rama Rao, Minister of Municipal Administration and Urban Development, Government of Telangana, inaugurated Kaithalapur road over bridge in Hyderabad on Tuesday, June 21. The four-lane bridge has been constructed by the Government of Telangana under its Strategic Road Development Plan (SRDP) at a cost of Rs 86 crore, near the Borabanda MMTS station.

The Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) said that the new Kaithalapur bridge will reduce traffic congestion for the commuters from HITEC City to Kukatpally and those from JNTU to HITEC City. This bridge is also expected to ease the traffic congestion at JNTU junction, Malaysian Township junction, HITEC City flyover and Cyber Tower junction. GHMC stated that out of the 41 works taken up under the SRDP, 29 have been completed.
