KARIMNAGAR, Telangana: KT Rama Rao, Minister for Municipal Administration and Urban Development, Government of Telangana, inaugurated development projects worth ₹700 crores on Wednesday, June 22. Rao also highlighted that the urban local bodies should be mindful of the news of the public and aim to fulfil their requirements.
Rama Rao laid the foundation stone of several projects in Karimnagar town, where he also held a meeting with corporators and officials from the Karimnagar Municipal Corporation in the civic body’s office.
He highlighted that drinking water facilities, health facilities, and proper drainage systems are the basic needs of the public, and it is the responsibility of all public representatives and municipalities that they fulfil these needs. He also commended the work done by the Karimnagar Municipal Corporation and officials to maintain the cleanliness of the city and the condition of the city roads.
Public participation has played an important role in making Karimnagar a model city. He also highlighted that the responsibility to motivate people in their respective regions falls on the shoulders of the corporators. Not only that, corporators should also work alongside the people rather than merely motivating them.
