KALYAN, Mumbai: The Kalyan-Dombivli Municipal Corporation (KDMC) has announced that it will demolish an illegally constructed 10-storey building in the Dombivli area.
Officials said that the building was constructed without the necessary approval of the municipal body, and KDMC has been cracking down on such illegal constructions that endanger the safety of the residents and compromise the city’s infrastructure planning.
The decision to demolish the building came after a thorough investigation during which the owner couldn’t produce valid approvals and other documents. KDMC has also issued warnings about other illegal construction in the area. People residing near the building have been informed about the demolition plan.
