MYSURU: Five doctors working in Chamarajanagar district of Karnataka have tested positive days after being vaccinated with the first dose of the vaccine. It is the first case of mid-vaccination cases in Karnataka. However, the officials have assured that people should not be afraid as the vaccines provide full efficacy after the two doses.
The five doctors aged 40 to 50 years took the COVID-19 test after observing mild symptoms, officials said. One of the doctors is being treated in the hospital while other have been home quarantined. M C Ravi, District Health Officer, said that the doctors were given the first doses of Covishield and Covaxin randomly. Two of the people working with them have also tested positive.
