NEW DELHI: Karnataka has become the first state in the country to implement the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020. Dharmendra Pradhan, Minister of Education, Government of India, and Chief Minister of Karnataka Basavaraj Bommai virtually launched the university and college admission module as per the new policy.
Pradhan said that Karnataka has set an example for other states in the implementation of the NEP 2020. CM Bommai also announced that a new digitalisation, research and development policy which focuses on students will be rolled out. He also added that a primary and secondary education council will be established to transform and empower the knowledge hub of the state.
CM Bommai said that the scheme will be given due preference in the coming budget and also advised to include career guidance and personality development in the secondary education level.
