CHANDIGARH, Haryana: Kamal Gupta, Minister for Urban Local Bodies, Government of Haryana, heard the issue of property ID at the 15th steering committee meeting of the Department of Urban Local Bodies on Tuesday, October 18.
While addressing the media after the meeting, the minister said that around 13 lakh new property IDs have been generated, and the concerned beneficiaries would be depositing the property tax.
With these 13 new IDs, the number of total IDs in the state has gone up to 42.1 lakh, while earlier there were only 29 lakh property IDs. Earlier, over 3 lakh people registered their complaints regarding the issue of their property IDs, which has been resolved by the concerned department.
Gupta said, “We got a survey conducted of the properties in urban areas. A private agency conducted the survey and the verification work is being done by the department. Out of the 90 civic bodies, the verification work has been completed in respect of 83. The data of 32 lakh properties under 79 civic bodies has been uploaded on the NDC portal.”
Apart from that, he also said that a survey is underway to regularise 800 illegal colonies, and once the survey completes, concerned civic bodies will submit their proposals for further action.
