NEW DELHI: India’s retail inflation rose for the second month in a row in November 2021, reaching 4.91 per cent mark from 4.48 per cent in October. Urban regions of the country see a sharper rise in inflation touching 5.54 per cent. Vegetable prices have continued to rise steeply increasing 7.45 per cent from the last month.

On the other hand, transportation and communication inflation eased a little to reach 10.02 per cent from 10.9 per cent, last month. The data suggests that there is an upward price pressure due to the rise in input and commodity prices, which is evident from the wholesale price inflation that touched 12.54 per cent in October.
