SRINAGAR: Piyush Goyal, Minister of Commerce and Industry, Government of India, informed on Tuesday, August 31 about the new central sector scheme for industrial development of Jammu and Kashmir. This new scheme will be helpful in making the union territory self-reliant, Goyal said.
The scheme will incorporate growth of industries and creating jobs for people. Moreover, it would also move businesses to invest in the development activities of the union territory, said Goyal. There will be a portal under which a Digilocker facility will be provided to the businessmen to submit their documents. This portal has been designed for effective implementation of the scheme and for transparent working of the scheme.
The process under this scheme involves registration and submitting claims, which will be processed within the department. This process will completely evade out the prospect of human interface. This scheme will give a push to industry and services-led development of Jammu and Kashmir. Furthermore, this sustainably devised theme will attract new investments and nurture the existing ones.
