INDORE: The district government along with the Department of Health, Government of Madhya Pradesh is hosting a two-day district-wide ‘Health Mela’ at the Nehru Stadium. The mela will be held as part of the ‘Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav’ celebrations. Administrative personnel presided over a meeting to ensure that the event is well-planned and executed. The event’s primary objectives, according to health officials, are to raise health awareness for the prevention of various communicable and non-communicable diseases, motivate beneficiaries to inculcate healthy habits, through innovative mass media activities, provide screening for early diagnosis, provide basic health care services, including referrals, etc.
According to BS Saitya, Chief Medical and Health Officer, there will be various stalls at the fair where individuals may get a free health check-up from physicians, orthopaedic surgeons, eye specialists, and gynecologists. Digital health cards will also be created for as many individuals as possible at the camp as part of the Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission.
