Delhi International Airport won the Wings India Award for ‘Most Sustainable and Green Airport’, and a silver medal for its sustainable waste management initiatives in the Airports Council International’s Asia-Pacific Green Airports Recognition 2018. The two green awards have come immediately following the Delhi Airport being declared by Airports Council International as the world’s number one airport in the highest category of more than 40 million passengers per year. Delhi Airport has undertaken various green initiatives such as carbon neutrality, green building programme, energy and water management, renewable energy programme and effective waste management.
