India’s biggest dialysis facility launched inside Gurudwara Bangla Sahib

NEW DELHI: The Delhi Sikh Gurudwara Management Committee (DSGMC) launched India’s biggest kidney dialysis facility on Sunday, March 7, at the Gurudwara Bangla Sahib complex. DSGMC said that Guru Harkishan Institute of Medical Sciences and Research Kidney Dialysis Hospital will offer dialysis facility to more than 100 patients at a time and can cater to more than 500 patients daily.

The hospital will provide the services free of cost and it doesn’t have any billing or payment counter. Manjinder Singh Sirsa, President, DSGMC, said that the DSGMC will be funded by Corporate Social responsibility (CSR) from corporate houses and by the people who can donate voluntarily for such initiatives. He added that the capacity of the facility will soon be increased to 1,000 beds from the current number of 101.
