NEW DELHI: Data from the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India established that India recorded 1,68,912 new cases of COVID-19. India’s overall tally of coronavirus cases reached 1.35 crore, and this led to India overtaking Brazil to become the second-most affected country globally by the novel coronavirus. The United States of America is currently leading the tally with 3.12 crore COVID-19 positive cases recorded so far.
The resurgence of the virus led to 904 deaths in one day, taking the total death count in India due to the COVID-19 to 1,70,179. There are 12,65,698 active cases of COVID in the country.
