IMC to introduce auto debit system for PT payment

INDORE, Madhya Pradesh: In a meeting of the revenue and market department of Indore Municipal Corporation (IMC), the civic body plans to introduce an auto-debit system for property tax (PT) payment, along with sending SMS reminders for tax dues. Shivam Verma, Indore Commissioner, and Pushyamitra Bhargav, Mayor, were also in the meeting.  

The mayor also directed the officials that the taxpayers should be informed about their pending amounts and auto-deposit via SMS. He said, “We have planned to introduce an auto-debit system for collection of revenues and also send SMS to residents to alert them about the forthcoming payment of taxes and to inform them about the tax paid.”
