HYDERABAD: Talasani Srinivas Yadav, Minister for Animal Husbandry, Fisheries, and Cinematography, Government of Telangana, began stormwater drain improvement works near Erragadda Metro station on Thursday, February 10. Yadav added that the Strategic Nala Construction Programme (SNDP) has earmarked Rs 12.36 crore for the development of 830 meters of the Nala that flows between AG Colony and Sanathnagar. The Nala is 2423 meters long in total.
Retaining walls and box drains will be installed with the cash, providing relief to inhabitants of Anand Nagar, Prem Nagar, Sultan Nagar, and other neighbourhoods that have been plagued by flooding. Yadav said that the SNDP will provide long-term relief to a number of individuals who have been affected by floods for a long time, and thanked KT Rama Rao, Minister of Municipal Administration and Urban Development, Government of Telangana for the funding approval.
