HYDERABAD: Amid the lockdown in the city, GMR Hyderabad International Airport Ltd. (GHIAL) has come forward to help migrant workers in the city. The GHIAL, in coordination with Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation has started distribution of food packets from April 6. GHIAL is distributing around 1,000 meals every day, which they will continue to do so till the lockdown is lifted, statement from the company said..
The food distribution process is facilitated by GMR Group’s corporate social responsibility arm GMR Varalakshmi Foundation. The statement also said , the relief work is presently being done in the Shastripuram area by GHMC where migrant labourers have taken shelter.
