HUBBALLI-DHARWAD, Karnataka: Election for the post of Mayor and Deputy Mayor has been scheduled for June 20, in Hubballi-Dharwad Municipal Corporation. Election schedule for the local body has been notified by P Sunil Kumar, Regional Commissioner.
Nomination process will be open from 9 AM to 11 AM, followed by the meeting at 1 PM. The post of Mayor has been reserved for a woman candidate, while the Deputy Mayor’s post has been reserved for a general category candidate. Scrutiny of the nomination papers will be done on the same day, and the list of eligible candidates will be announced. If necessary, election will be held by show of hands.
