SHIMLA: Govind Singh Thakur, Youth Services and Sports Minister, Himachal Pradesh, announced that the state’s government is planning to install water games facilities at Tattapani and Larji dam. The targeted aim’s motive is to promote adventure tourism in the state. The minister also mentioned that the Mountaineering and Allied Sports Institute, Manali, would be tasked with the development of the infrastructure and other facilities in Tattapani and Larji dam. Water biking and jet vetoes would be some amenities provided to the tourists at these locations and white water games would be played here.
Recently, the institute organised a 14-day rafting exercise for 25 persons and those who passed the test were issued rafting license. The move was carried out to ensure safety of the tourists that are expected to visit these points.
The minister said to check the eligibility of a paragliding pilot, a machine had been set up by the institute.
