HP CM lays foundation stone for developmental projects

SHIMLA: Foundation stone for construction of various parking lots was laid by Jai Ram Thakur, Chief Minister of Himachal Pradesh, on Wednesday, May 4. Parking for 200 vehicles is to be constructed, near Auckland Tunnel with an expenditure of Rs 6.49 crore.  A bus stand worth Rs 6.86 crore will also be constructed, near the Shri Gurudwara Sahib Shimla and parking facility for 250 vehicles would be provided. Besides, foundation stone for construction work of parking for 150 vehicles in the SDA Complex, Kasumpati worth Rs 6.21 crore, was also laid down. All in all, developmental projects worth Rs 63.06 crore were initiated here.

The CM also inaugurated the Ajeevika Bhawan constructed at a cost of Rs 10.50 crore. Construction of 22 parking projects worth Rs 120.30 crore under the Shimla Smart City project would provide additional parking of 2,800 vehicles.
