CHENNAI: Inculcating awareness about road safety and safe driving habits in the city of Chennai, Greater Chennai Municipal Corporation (GCMC) and Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India (HMSI) commemorated three years of ‘Children’s Road Safety and Traffic Park’ at Napier Bridge Kamarjar Salai in the gracious presence of Srinivasan Ramamurthy, Executive Engineer, GCMC.
In the year 2019, HMSI collaborated with GCMC for inaugurating the second traffic training park of Tamil Nadu in Chennai. This park was constructed on a mini-city concept that simulates real road conditions including traffic signals to zebra crossing and speed breaker, etc. Besides this, Honda2 wheelers India announced that via its daily trainings it has imparted trainings to around 42,000 people in Chennai, which entails 35,000 kids and over 7000 new and existing riders, ever since its inception.
Moreover, HMSI has also been efficient in empowering female riders with the help and support from GCMC, said Prabhu Nagaraj, Senior Vice president, HMSI.
