Himachal to develop Chanshal as tourist destination

SHIMLA: Jai Ram Thakur, Chief Minister of Himachal Pradesh said on November 25, 2018, that the Chanshal area of Rohru assembly constituency would be developed as a world-class tourist destination.

While addressing a gathering at Ramleela ground he said that the state of the art infrastructure would be used to promote the area as an adventure sports hub.

The other announcements included the declaration of Kharapathar-Sheelghat-Shrontha-Tikker and Sari-Jharag-Sheelghat as major district roads, construction of a multipurpose hall, a parking complex at Rohru, Rs 20 lakh for the upgrade of Seema-Ratnadi road and Rs 80 lakh for various link roads of the area.

CM also announced the opening of a veterinary dispensary at Kanda and grant of Rs10 lakh to construct a community hall at Ratnadi. He said that the ongoing work on Sabji Mandi Rohru would be expedited.
