GURUGRAM, Haryana: The Department of Urban Local Bodies in Haryana has decided to look into the status of payments for sanitation works done by the civic bodies across the state. For this purpose, the department has selected six officials who will conduct random inspection visits to see the payment status.
The team comprising of Harish Kumar, Executive Engineer; Rakesh Joon, Assistant Engineer; and Jai Kumar, Accountant Municipal Corporation Manesar, have been given the responsibility to examine the Gurgaon, Faridabad, Nuh, Palwal, Mahendergarh and Rewari municipalities.
The responsibility to scrutinise the payment status of Hisar, Fathehabad, Bhiwani, Jind, Sirsa, Rohtak, Jhajjar, and Charkhi Dadri has been bestowed on the team comprising of Sandeep Dhundhwal, Executive Engineer; Sumit Kumar, Assistant Engineer; and Jay Chand, Accountant, Hisar Municipal Corporation.
The Municipal Corporation of Gurugram (MCG) allocated the maximum for the health and sanitation sector. Although the corporation has allocated ₹350 crore, it is 30 per cent less than the amount sanctioned last year, which was ₹500 crore.
