CHANDIGARH, Haryana: The Government of Haryana has decided to return erroneously collected development charges worth ₹5 crore from the property owners to whom development charges did not apply. After this decision 1,588 property owners will be given a refund.
A spokesperson of the Department of Urban Local Bodies said that the department has identified nearly 1,588 property owners who have erroneously paid development charges in Haryana Shahari Vikas Pradhikaran (HSVP), Haryana State Industrial and Infrastructure Development Corporation (HSIIDC), licensed colonies, change of land use (CLU) acquired properties, lal dora residential properties and agricultural properties.
The department has notified the details of such property owners, who will be refunded the development charges, to concerned urban local bodies.
