Haryana installs stone crushers in a sustainable manner

CHANDIGARH: Kanwar Pal, Minister of Education, Government of Haryana told the Legislative Assembly of Haryana that 90 stone crushers are being installed in Nangal Choudhary Vidhan Sabha constituency of Mahendragarh district with clearance from Haryana State Pollution Control Board (HSPCB). Answering to a question raised in the House during the budget session, he said 61 out of 90 stone crushers are in lines with the norms laid by HSPCB, while 25 of them do not follow the emission norms. Four units were shut down after their approval had expired. He also mentioned that HSPCB has followed up with action for those units which don’t comply with the environmental norms. Out of the rest of the 22 units which did not meet with the requirements, the licenses of 13 units have been cancelled.
