GUNTUR: Officials who fail to identify and take action on illegal constructions in the city will face severe consequences, warned C Anuradha, Municipal Commissioner, Guntur Municipal Corporation.
Anuradha went to Sai Krishna Nagar as part of the exterior inspection and found that the under-construction apartment and function hall was not built according to the rules. The local secretariat staff was immediately instructed by the civic body chief to submit a report.
She cautioned that if the engineers did not follow the rules when creating the blueprints, their licenses would be cancelled. She directed officials to make sure that the plans of the buildings under construction are visible on the site and to conduct regular inspections to verify that all requirements are fulfilled.
