GURUGRAM: Gurugram Metropolitan City Bus Limited (GMCBL) will soon be outsourcing the maintenance of bus queue shelters from a hired agency. Sonal Goel, CEO, GMCBL, recently inspected the state of the buses in the city and was satisfied with the condition of the buses but observed that the condition of the bus shelters were not up to the mark. The department has already floated a tender which is to be finalised by February 2020. The CEO, along with four other officials, boarded a GMCBL bus from Tau Devi Lal Stadium and inspected the status of the bus operation in detail. She inquired about reserved seats for women, specially-abled and the elderly, daily commuters, emergency switches in the buses and the use of smart cards amongst others.
