Ghaziabad: Ghaziabad in Uttar Pradesh became the first district where the integrated e-challan system has been implemented to check violation of road rules and collect penalties on the spot, in the state.
The director general of UP police OP Singh has inaugurated the e-challan system on 26, June at Hapur, Chungi intersection. DGP OP Singh said the system implemented in Ghaziabad will be followed in other districts of the state.
Through the new system, the driver’s full information will be received by entering the vehicle number. A complete record of the list of penalties imposed on the violators will be recorded by the handheld machines. The driver will be able to pay the penalty by cash or card on the spot, and soon net banking facility will also be added in the system.
