JAISALMER, Rajasthan: In a virtual ceremony, Nitin Gadkari, the Minister of Road Transport and Highways, Government of India, inaugurated the Ram Setu overbridge in Balotra city. The bridge was constructed at a cost of ₹102 crores.
Attending the event, Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma expressed confidence that the newly inaugurated overbridge would significantly contribute to the progress of the state.
The chief minister highlighted the positive impact on religious tourism, emphasising that the overbridge’s construction would facilitate the movement of devotees visiting religious places such as Jasol Dham, Nakoda, and Brahmadham Yatra.
CM Sharma commended Nitin Gadkari’s pivotal role and praised the leader’s progressive thinking and innovative approach. Under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Gadkari’s initiatives have presented Rajasthan with opportunities for the development of ring roads, bridges, Road Over Bridges, and major expressways, including the Mumbai-Delhi Expressway and Jamnagar-Amritsar Expressway.
This infrastructure development, according to CM Sharma, reflects the commitment to advancing the state’s connectivity and overall growth. The chief minister expressed gratitude for the continuous support and efforts of the central government in driving key infrastructure projects, emphasising their positive impact on the state’s economy and the well-being of its residents.
