NEW DELHI: A French news channel, BFM TV, on Tuesday, October 27, reported that the French government is intending a month-long national lockdown to fight inflated coronavirus infections. The lockdown is likely to take effect from Thursday midnight.

However, Emmanuel Macron, President of France, is yet to make a televised address on Wednesday, October 28. No comment has yet been made by his office on possibility of lockdown announcement by the president. BFM TV also reported that the possible forthcoming lockdown will be more flexible than the previous lockdown in France in March 2020.
