NEW DELHI: Dialogue and Development Commission (DDC), a premier think-tank of Delhi government, and a multi-stakeholder global platform initiated by the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) signed a pact on Thursday, November 19. The pact has been signed to empower the youth with talent, skills and employment opportunities. It will start by advancing and strengthening of portal of Rozgaar Bazaar which was launched in July this year.
Manish Sisodia, Deputy Chief Minister of Delhi, said that the partnership with UNICEF’s YuWaah is an opportunity to help the youth live a productive life which contributes to the nation and society. According to Sisodia, the biggest challenge that the country is facing now is unemployment and COVID-19. Waiting for COVID-19 vaccine would not solve the problem of joblessness in this country. To tackle this, concentrated efforts must be made, such as the recent collaboration between YuWaah and Delhi government. The Memorandum of Understanding was signed by Jasmine Shah, Vice Chairperson of DDC, and DrYasmine Ali Haque, Indian representative of UNICEF, in the presence of Sisodia.
