NEW DELHI: For prevention of mob lynching and noise pollution, the Delhi Police launched two new 24X7 helpline numbers on April 18, 2019; 155270 for mob violence and 155271 for noise pollution.
The Delhi Police in a statement said that the helpline number 155270 is available for making complaints about any incident, including lynching or violence of the crowd. Any person aggrieved or a witness can report any such incident to this helpline number round the clock. The other helpline number 155271 is made available for making complaints related to noise pollution.
The helpline number for mob lynching was launched in accordance with the directions of the Supreme Court, while the helpline for noise pollution came in compliance with the directions of the National Green Tribunal (NGT) orders.
