NEW DELHI: Lieutenant Governor (LG) of Delhi Vinai Kumar Saxena has green-signalled the allotment of 297 sqm of land in the Jangpura area of Delhi for the Delhi-Meerut Regional Rapid Transit System (RRTS) project.
LG approved land allotment on the grounds of national importance and interest of the public engaged in the Delhi-Ghaziabad-Meerut RRTS project, informed a senior official.
The allotment of the land, belonging to the Delhi Urban Shelter Improvement Board (DUSIB), was “pending for the last two years” and is crucial for the RRTS project. Newly allotted land will be used in providing connectivity with the stabling yard at Jangpura from Ring Road at Nehru Nagar for smooth implementation of the high-speed rail corridor lengthed at 82.15 km.
