NEW DELHI: The Delhi High court has directed the East Delhi Municipal Corporation (EDMC) to clear litter and encroachment from the Jhilmil Industrial area, Shahdra, so that there is ease of access and effective use of area by people.
Justice Najmi Wazri directed EDMC to file an affidavit along with the photographs of the area before the next date of hearing with reference to the clearance of encroachments near Plot No 5, SC II, Jhilmil Area, Shahdara, Delhi. This direction was made in light of the petition filed by Deepanshu Chithani, an allottee of the area, against the Delhi Development Authority.
