NEW DELHI: The Government of NCT of Delhi signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Bloomberg Philanthropy to make Capital roads accident-free. The Department of Transport will be provided necessary technical assistance and the employees will be trained for better road safety.
Under the MoU, various known road safety experts of the world will provide every necessary technical assistance to the transport department. The Delhi government has already made in-roads towards green mobility through the Delhi Electric Vehicle Policy. Now, by signing this MoU, Delhi government is shifting its focus towards road safety and Delhi has joined the Global Road Safety Initiative with Bloomberg Philanthropy. Together, the Delhi government with global road safety experts and people of Delhi will ensure zero causalities on the roads.
All cities participating in this will be committed to implement road safety and prevent road accidents.
