NEW DELHI: Seeing the poor air quality in Delhi-NCR, Arvind Kejriwal, Chief Minister of Delhi, has announced that set up of no new manufacturing unit will be allowed inside the industrial areas. This initiative was taken to curb the increasing air pollution levels. Kejriwal stated on Monday, November 2, that here onwards, only service trade and hi-tech trade will be allowed and given landat lower charges in industrial areas. He also said that this is being done as the economic system of Delhi is not manufacturing based but service based.

Kejriwal further said that this new rule will benefit various sectors like media, human resource services, information technology, market analysis and placement businesses. Other professions like attorneys, designers- the ones who had to transfer to the suburbs due to high prices of property- will now get places of work inside Delhi.
