NEW DELHI: The Delhi Development Authority (DDA) has announced its plan to develop three jhuggi clusters in the East Delhi area to improve the standard of living of the residents. The redevelopment plan will also pave the way for improved housing facilities and essential amenities for the residents.
The three jhuggi clusters selected for the redevelopment are located in the East Delhi area, home to a large population of low-income households in the national capital. Redevelopment of the jhuggi cluster will lead to the construction of multi-storey residential buildings equipped with proper sanitation facilities, clean drinking water supply, and adequate green spaces. To create a sense of community among the people, community facilities and social infrastructure will also be developed by DDA.
