JAMMU & KASHMIR: Leading the way in digital governance in Jammu & Kashmir (J&K), Dr Arun Kumar Mehta, Chief Secretary, launched 25 e-services on the UMANG platform on March 4. The Unified Mobile Application for New Age Governance (UMANG) is a multi-lingual mobile platform designed to provide ‘any time-anywhere governance’. During the launch event, Dr Mehta said that in synchronisation with the vision of ‘Aapka Mobile Humara Daftar’, the Government of the Union Territory of J&K is committed to provide citizen centric services through the mobile mode.
The services on the UMANG platform are end to end digitised and provide one-step solution to the citizens. The services on the platform are integrated with online payment gateway and Rapid Assessment System (RAS) for digital feedback. People can now access 25 popular services including birth certificate, death certificate, SC/ST RBA certificate etc. through the web page or mobile application of UMANG.
