DMRC expects that this section will be available from the CMRS on the green signal to open for passenger service soon. DMRC is already engaged in preparations for opening this section by the end of this month.
According to the DMRC, Commissioner Metro Rail Safety will investigate a new section of 8.10 km long between Lajpat Nagar from South Campus on Monday. Six new stations have been created in this section, two of which are the interchange stations. During the investigation, all the parameters related to the safety of passenger will be investigated and all other aspects related to safety on fire stations including fire safety will also be examined.
After the opening of this section, 29.66 km long line of Pink Line will be operational and people will be able to reach Majlis Park directly from Lajpat Nagar. With this, the length of the operational network of the Metro will also go up to 296 km.
