COIMBATORE, Tamil Nadu: The Coimbatore Municipal Corporation (CMC) has installed green shade nets at some of its key junctions to give respite to commuters from the blazing Sun.
As per officials, the green shade net has been put up over the junctions situated at Selvapuram, Sundarapuram, Townhall, Saravanpatti, Ramakrishnapuram, Metupalayam Road, Hope College Signal, Singanallur Signal, Goods Shed Road, Sathy Road, and Eru Company Bus Stop.
The maximum temperature in the city has already touched the 40-degree Celsius mark in the last three days. These green shade nets will give a short relief to the travellers.
